About Us

The Summit Squad is a 501(c)(3) organization.  We shine a light on what being a survivor means by bringing ‘taboo’ topics to the forefront of conversation.  We do this by giving everyday women a chance to tell their stories as they take on some of the most formidable mountains in the World.  

 

The largest free-standing mountain in the World was our first stop: Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa.  This was selected as a backdrop to showcase the ‘power of she,’ as three women endeavored to summit Africa's tallest mountain in the fall of 2022.

 

Their journey to Africa and their powerful stories of overcoming sexual assault, suicidal thoughts and homophobia will become a Summit Squad documentary.

 

 The film is not only about the potential of one’s physical prowess, but impressively and importantly about the power in overcoming the hand that life deals you.
